My youngest sis reminded me that in 10 days, we'll be back in Singapore. I know it's soon but that soon?! I'd better get down to real proper packing. Going to be a very busy last 10 days in UK for the year.

Started on packing
I bought each of them a new pair of sandals about 2 months back. Didn't show them till recently and Louisa declared she prefers Lavigne's. When I bought them, Lavigne's sandals was the only pair left. So I bought another design for Louisa. But since then, I'd noticed the store had brought in more of the one I bought for Lavigne so I will bring back Louisa's for exchange.
Louisa is quite like me in fashion sense. She prefers bright, cheery colours....skirts and dresses rather than pants. She doesn't like anything that's sporty or boyish, prefers girly designs. She's delighted she'll get to wear all her pretty skirts soon. Lavigne is starting to show her preference too. She'll tell me what she wants to wear and what she doesn't, thankfully not all the time though.
Though the excitement is starting to buildup, I'm not entiring looking forward to the journey home. Travelling with 2 children under the age of 5 is daunting enough, let alone it's a 14 hour flight.

'Nothing Much You Can Do'
Where do you head from there?
What can you do to make one communicate?
That takes a lot of hardwork.
You can try and try,
But there's only that much you can do.
It takes two hands to clap
If one's not willing,
There's nothing much you can do.
What do you do if what you ask for falls on deaf ears?
Where do you head from there?
You can bribe
You can threaten
You can beg
Maybe give an ultimatum
But there's only that much you can do.
It takes two hands to clap.
It one's not willing,
There's really nothing much you can do.

Hospital Stay
Thank you all for your well wishes. Louisa has now fully recovered. On her discharge form:
Diagnosis: viral induced wheeze
? atypical pneumonia
I rang the hospital to double-check her appointment for her repeat x-ray but was told there was nothing on the system under her name. I was then asked to ring the consultant's secretary and she told me to ring the ward instead as it is their responsibility to make the appointment. A nurse from the ward took down Louisa's details and said someone will ring me back once they've contacted the consultant regarding this matter.

Milestones
After the New Year, Louisa will be joining those who were born in Autumn and Winter for full school days. Instead of staying in school from 9-1pm which she does now, she'll be there from 9-3pm. It's quite long hours compared to her peers who attend nursery in Singapore.
Lavigne, who had been going to Stepping Notes (music class) with Louisa for the past 1.5 yrs, went for her own first lesson today. Unfortunately, she wasn't keen to join in. I think it's perhaps I woke her up from her nap just before the lesson and she was confused, thinking that it's Louisa's class. She has hers at 2.05pm while Louisa's lesson is at 4pm. I'm glad she joined in with the other children at Louisa's class which meant she didn't feel good being woken up and not that she didn't like going to her own class. I'm also glad that the class is held at a hall just 5min's walk away.
