So England lost to Portugal in the World Cup 2006 by penalty shootout. I'm not a football fan but Adrian is and he supports England. He kept sighing after that. It'll be nice if England had won today. Even if they didn't, I commend them for pushing on with only 10 men when Rooney was sent off. I didn't watch the whole game, only caught the penalties. In fact, I went out to get more gravel from the garden centre when the match was on. It was a good time to shop as most people stayed in to support their home team. Though England is out, the competition is still on. Adrian will still watch the matches, Louisa will still say 'C'mon Liverpool!' even though I've told her many times it's the World Cup and not English Premier League and Lavigne will still shout 'GOooooal! Gooooooal!'

gabe does e same thing as lavigne too. he'll shout "goal" whenever we watch e matches on World Cup.
