5 Things I wouldn't have done if I was in Singapore

  1. Let Lavigne self-feed since one year old. (I can eat in relative peace and at the same time with her as compared to Louisa when she was the same age)
  2. Let both girls sleep in one room, Adrian and I in another. (Most likely to co-sleep in Singapore)
  3. Put the girls to bed by 7.30pm. (Best advice I heeded in UK)
  4. Drill holes myself and doing all the DIYs. (No handyman, Ah Koon)
  5. Gardening. (Flowers, glorious flowers which thrive in the weather here)

Hello Day(Sher),

They used to sleep after 9pm but my health visitor said that's too late. So we tried to put them to bed earlier and earlier, bit by bit. It's also easier during Auntumn and Winter since it gets dark very early. The earliest it gets dark is 3.30pm and when you don't see daylight, you'll panick. So I'll cook earlier, we'll eat earlier and the girls will sleep earlier too. Best of all, I have time for myself and other half.

Same here, my girls tend to sleep late during summer, around 9pm. It's difficult for them to fall asleep when it's still so bright outside (latest sunset was 10pm). My curtains are not thick and even if they are drawn, light still filters through so I had been advised to put up blackout curtains or blinds (which I didn't). It must be really tiring for you and KK. Do you have a fixed bedtime routine for Day? It may be easier that way to get him to sleep earlier. Perhaps you can also cut down on his activities one by one before bedtime to get him to sleep earlier.
