Holiday

Reading Lilian's blog on her recent holiday to Japan brought back many fond memories of my trips there. I love the Japan culture, food and language. Used to study it at school but without practice, I've forgotten most of it. Now, I can only pick out very simple conversations and words here and there while watching J-dramas. My sister-in-law also holidayed there recently. Awww....I want to go too! Come to think of it, I've not been on a holiday this year. So unlike last year when I went to Spain, Austria, Hong Kong, Portugal and Cornwall. My sister, who will be visiting us this Christmas, suggested going to Disneyland Paris. The train ticket is horribly expensive during that period and I'm not sure about the weather too. Looks like it's no-holiday for me this year. Oh well, at least we're going back to Singapore next summer and fingers crossed, I hope my Bali trip with Adrian will materialise. I can't believe how quickly this past year has gone by. This time last year, I was counting down to my trip to Singapore. Now, my friends back home have already planned their yearly X'mas party which I'm going to miss this year. I'm so glad my sister's coming. She's going to be the sparkle of my rather gloomy winter.

Spain, Austria, Portugal...oooh, all places I've never been to; and really wish to see...*envious*.

You haven't been to those places? Austria's really beautiful and the Portuguese people are very friendly. Your next holiday venues, maybe?

Nope, I'm quite the mountain tortoise when it comes to travelling; only been to places where my husband's been posted to and then some. Did want to go to Barcelona, but husband hemmed and hawed, he's averse to places he's unfamiliar with...so destination changed to Tokyo.
