Hear ye, hear ye!

Today, we attended Luke's pirate theme birthday party in London. Louisa and Lavigne, being girly girls, prefer to dress up pretty but I was glad they agreed to wear what I had prepared for them - pants and blouses. I had promised them they could change into dresses and tights when we go to Luke's house for lunch after the party and packed a bag of their clothes (which they had forgotten about). To my surprise, Lavigne agreed to have her face painted but not Louisa. She wanted to look like a 'girl pirate' and not 'boy pirate' with the moustache and all but I had no idea how to do it. So in the end, she went there clean faced.

After the party, we had yummy Japanese curry rice at Val's (the party venue was a mere 5min away) and oh-so-sinful but delightful cheesecakes. I discovered a really tasty Japanese salad dressing and a cookbook at her place. Am going to order the latter from Amazon soon as a Christmas present for myself. Haha!

Luke is 4

I'm surprised my camera worked well today. Maybe it knows it will be replaced very soon as my new camera is waiting for me in Singapore. Yay! Can't wait to get hold of it.

Thanks for taking the photos and for coming all the way down! A mother asked me if Louisa and Lavigne were Luke' sisters at the party, haha, if only Luke were so lucky :)

You're very welcome! Oh, siblings? My girls have such 'mimi' eyes unlike your Luke's which are like marbles. Thanks for inviting us, we had a lovely time. Lavigne slept in the car and didn't wake till 8am this morning. She did get up to go toilet early in the morning and then squeezed herself between A and I and slept a while more. You got the train?

Wow, she must have been exhausted! Forgot to add that your girls were the prettiest pirates ever, their costumes were terrific and testament to your creativity!!!

Yes, we went to Hamleys which was coincidentally having a one day, storewide 20% discount! Luke was happy and so were we, with the savings :)

Mel,

I don't think I have any photo showing a clear view of their 'costume'. Actually nothing fantastic lah.

Oh man the price of the princess costume. But it looks very well made.
