The good and the bad

I'll like to think that when one does good deeds, have a kind heart and is generally a righteous and honest person, one will be protected from the iniquitous. But I'm beginning to lose faith in that. No matter how many good people, how many angels there are out there, lurking amongst them are the evil lot. I just can't understand why some people simply have no conscience, how they can take advantage of a situation to try to get some money out of it, why make up stories to get what they want? To say the least, I'm embroiled in a very undesirable situation which I'm at no liberty to discuss right now. Like my father-in-law had told me, life is full of ups and downs which I agree totally. But I've never, ever, at any point of my life, encountered so many bad incidents all at one go. Please say a prayer for me. Thank you!

You are in our prayers. We will pray that it will all be over and settled soon. May the peace of God be with you and your family.

I'm making a guess... related to death? Each time a relative passed away (my dad, granma, granma-in-law), the living found a way to quarrel over money.

But everyone seems to patch back after a few yrs.

Take care, whatever it is :) .

oh add my late aunt to my list. Quarrelling might be a coping mechanism in our case, hah.

Thanks Val!

Mel,
I wish it's as simple as that, but it's not. Nope, it's not about fighting over money or death. Thanks for your well wishes anyway.

Had lunch with a client who became a friend the other day.. She's a working mum of 2 - 2 years old and 8 years old. She was facing some challenges as well and she told me she really did not know what to do. Then she came upon this author by the name of Stormie Omartian who writes books on prayers. My friend does not know how to pray so she used the daily prayer which this lady puts on her website - she repeats whatever is written... things slowly turned around... not easy but prayer works. Go to http://www.stormieomartian.com/. I read her books in those "years of darkness" and prayed those prayers which contributed to lifting my spirits up... hope you find it useful! Sometimes when i do not know how to pray anymore, i just pray "Help, God, Help"... He will deliver in His time... Praying for you...
