Common Love

common love

When I was last in Singapore, this website held a Durian Degustation. Unfortunately, I found out about it too late and had just missed the registration date. Undeterred, I sent in an email to register, 'pleading' that I be put on the list as I hadn't eaten durian for a long time since relocating to UK. It worked and I was over the moon when I received an email confirming my place + 3 others for my sisters and future-bro-in-law. We stuffed ourselves with the sinful but yet irresistible golden flesh of goodness. After being away for so long, I realised that there are now so many more hybrids which I have not heard of - Mao Shan Wang, Gold Pheonix and the different D numbers etc. Too bad it was the end of the durian season and we didn't get to eat much of the premium types. But I was still satisfied. To help us burn some of the thousands of calories we'd consumed, we walked home since it was near our parents' place. This picture was taken by a photographer at the event and I really like it.

I knew this was coming. Like you said, you don't fancy durians. Anyway, more of you to come.
