Around my house 2

workstation

I used to have a very small desk. It was actually a console table from our previous house. As I gave my old work table to Lavigne and since our current home has a narrow hallway, I decided to use it as my computer desk. However, it was small and I could only put my computer on it and nothing much else. When I bought the pen and tablet from my last visit to Singapore, I really struggled with space. So when I saw a worktop (it was meant for kitchen) on sale during a trip to Ikea, I bought it without knowing for sure if it will fit the space between the wall and shelf. It looked like it would and I thought I could shift the shelf if it didn't. Luckily the fit was perfect. I placed it on top of the console table and am loving the increased work area. There's more space for craft and sewing projects now. Best of all, it costs only £12, down from £50 and it's made of solid oak. I'm loving my new workspace.

You've yet to acquire one? It was one of the best investment I've ever made. A little late but better late than never.
