A few days ago, I wrote on Facebook about a member of family insulting my own family. I am totally protective of my family and to have someone close to make offensive reference to them, it's as good or rather bad as blasphemy. To have it happen once is ghastly and revolting enough but to have it happen twice, possibly more in a week, I think that is totally UNFORGIVABLE!
If this perpetrator happens to be an outsider, it is a terrible thing to happen. But this person is so-called family too. To say I was outraged is an understatement. I could have punched that person! But I wouldn't stoop as low.
I was always told to forgive and forget for everything. Most times, it's easier to forgive but not forget. In this case, I don't think I can even forgive, let alone forget. I see the action of that person as somewhat of a loser. It's the loser who can't think of better things to say but to attack the family instead.
Someone ever said to me it's not enough to study to gain knowledge, it's also about getting an education. But obviously that person didn't. For if a person is wise and educated enough, this wouldn't have happened. I don't feel sorry at all for this person. I feel more sorry for the person's family. For everything that happens, I always believe.......Someone up there is watching.

I know how u feel. There are people in our lives that have "bad mouths" too. I usually tolerate them, but I draw the line at insults in my face about my country, national carrier or family. I won't hesitate to make a comeback or tell the person off. Money.. or even education.. cannot buy class.
ros,
i've learned many things in e 17mths such as good karma, bad karma; 人在做,天在看 and lastly, 人要积德,口德,品德,心德。
someday i hope these pp'll learn and not via the painful way.
Hope you feel better. Family feud is really stressful, bitter & tears up a family. They say you can't choose family so just hope they will learn all the 德 that Kelly has said : 人要积德,口德,品德,心德
Every family has some black sheep amongst them.
Hi Ros
It is ok not to forget the incident. We can never forget unless our brain cells are wiped out totally.
