Another London day out

A couple of weeks back, both girls were invited to a play date.  That means I have an extra few hours on my own.  I'd always wanted to make a trip to London just for photography.  Even though I have 2 free days every week, I feel I don't have enough time to play around with.  By the time I drop the girls off at school and wait for the first off-peak train into Kings Cross, I'll probably have around 3+hours before I hopping on a train back to pick the girls.  As the train ticket is not cheap, it's not worth paying that kind of money and be in London for just a few hours.

Even on that morning itself, I was contemplating if I should make the trip.  Especially since the weather didn't look promising.  But in the end, I went and there were no regrets whatsoever.  It didn't rain so that was good.

Come walk through parts of London with me.

After Japan Centre, I also dropped by Mitsukoshi to browse at the bookstore.  How I miss Kinokuniya!

My trip ended in Chinatown to 'dabao' dinner home, buy some stuff for Chinese New Year and get some bread from the bakery for the girls.  I still didn't manage to get to Tower Bridge.  After all these years in UK!  Not one photo of that bridge.  Can you believe it?  There's also a few other places on my list which I didn't have enough time to go.  Yes, I made a list the day before and planned my trip just so I wouldn't waste time travelling about.

There's just so many things to see in London.  Such a vibrant and cosmopolitan city.  I definitely need a few more days like that.  But I always say this to my friend.  It's nice to go there for a day out but I can't see myself living there.  Too busy for my liking.

I haven't blogged in a long time. Work got busy and blogging got sacrificed.
