I chopped off a fair amount of hair this evening. Mine that is. I'd been putting off cutting my own hair for a long time, mainly because I wanted to keep the curls at the end. I had it cut and permed the last time I went back to Singapore, some 8 months ago. In fact I'm surprised the curls lasted this long. Overly long hair doesn't suit me. Moreover, the ends are getting quite dry. For the longest of time, I'd been wanting curls like you see on models in those Japanese fashion magazines from Kinokuniya. Not the maggi-mee type but straight near the crown and soft curls at the end. I took the bold step and had it done. The curls look more natural now, hence I'm really reluctant to cut my hair for they will be gone. But the top half of my hair is getting limp and out of shape so out came the scissors and off went the curls. Duh! I can always perm it again when I next go back.
Talking about hair, eversince Victoria Beckham switched to a bob like hairstyle, I've seen scores of British women copying the same look. I remember liking this hairstyle when I was in secondary school and this WAG (wives and girlfriends of English footballers) set off the trend by cutting her hair after having too much hair extensions which left her own hair too weak for more extensions. Before she had this hairstyle, I started cutting my girls' hair this way (or tried to). I'm sure people would have said I copied her style when they see my girls.
Does that woman even eat? Remember her early Spice Girls' days?
