Usual playdate, unordinary house

We went on a playdate today which turned out to be, uhm, quite an eye-opener. First of all, we were greeted by the red double-decker bus in the drive. When Lavigne's friend's (C) mum gave me the direction to her house, saying that there's the bus in the driveway, I was pretty intrigued. I vaguely recall seeing one while driving along that street. Little did I know that Lavigne's friend lives there. I had thought that perhaps they bought the bus to rent it out for weddings but I was so wrong. She had bought it for her children to play, as a toy! How cool is that?!

When we arrived, we were greeted by the housekeeper who told me C's mum is exercising and would meet us later. So the girls played in a playroom full of toys of all sorts while I sat and watched them. I have to say that of all the playdates we've had, this is the only one so far, which had the least squabbles. Only one in fact, when the 2 younger ones wanted to sit on the same chair.

All went well, until C's dog came into the room and my 2 girls went on top of the table. Knowing they're safe, they went on to tease the dog, 'Hello, doggie!' continuously.

I did say in my previous post about the largest private garden I've ever been. Ok, I take that back. If that was big, the garden of C's house is monstrous! Sitting just next to the Savill Garden, the plot is 8 acres big. I didn't realise how big it was when the girls went pass the gnomes to go in. It just went on and on and on. I was like 'there's more of it?!'. It has to since there's a swimming pool, a pond, a tennis court, football field and greenhouse. I'm sure there is more than that. When C told her mum she wanted to go to the park, she replied 'There, our garden's the park.' I didn't really get the chance to interact or talk to her mum as she was very busy.

Needless to say, Lavigne was reluctant to leave. Who would when there were so much toys to play with, a stationary bus to hop on and off and a garden to get lost in.
