Spent 4 hours on the road today, covered 200 miles in total. I thought I was going to melt in the car. Today was the day I wished my car has air-condition. Yes, our car doesn't have it. To be perfectly honest, we don't really need it except for the summer months. But then again, there wasn't much of a summer for the past 2 years. However, we'll apparently be having a scorching summer this year. We certainly can't go anywhere too far in our car in this heat. Also, I don't have a pair of sunglass. It was so bright my eyes hurt. My arms and fingers felt really hot from the heat. I began to spray sunblock on one hand while the other was on the steering wheel, right in the middle of motorway (not recommended!).
Strangely, I get tanned here easily even though the temperature's not as high as in Singapore. I got very dark last year after spending a few days in the park, without sunblock. This year, I make sure I apply it everyday and put on a hat when I have to be out in the garden at work. All children has to have one on, if not they're not allowed to play outdoors.
It's going to be hot! hot! hot! for the rest of the week. I can finally put away all scarfs, cardigans and anything warm. But then again, next week may be cold again. Duh!
