First snow

First winter snow 2010_1

For the past few weeks, we have been experiencing very cold weather with sub-zero temperatures.  In some parts of the UK, more than 10cm of snow fell but luckily for us, we didn't get as much.  Driving on icy roads is no fun, if you remember!

First winter snow 2010

We woke up yesterday morning to a snowscape.  The first snow of the season had fallen overnight but it wasn't as bad as what we had encountered early this year.

Either I am getting old or it's seriously cold.  I don't remember feeling this cold, ever.  On days that I work, I wear up to 4 layers!  It doesn't help that the heating system at my workplace has gone kaput.  Let's see when we will get a reprieve from the arctic temperatures.

My winter weapon this year is Uniqlo Heat Tech thermals. Some new technology which converts your body moisture into heat. I wear it all the time, it does not look like granny wear and is amazing!! Have you tried it?

I've not heard of it. Is it expensive?

Ros, Uniqlo is having multi-buy offer for heattech (Buy 2 for £19.99). Personally, I didn't feel it was all that useful (although I bought another 2 this time) but now after reading more into it, it does say it keeps body warmer COMPARED to a normal 100% cotton shirt. (It's very thin, this heat tech) SO it makes layering much more bearable due to the discreet size. I love Uniqlo's Premium Down though. Follow them on Twitter to get the latest promo (sometimes they have free delivery so you don't have to go al the wya to the shop in Central London).
