We're reaching the end of summer, calendar-wise that is. Weatherwise, where is summer? Did we even have one? There had been much rainfall but sunny days? Where were they? We experienced a pretty hot April which is unusual. Then when summer was here, we had nothing but rain. There were perhaps a few days with good sunshine but other than that, I feel that England has skipped a whole season! It's been strange this year, Daffodils blooming in January when they usually do so in March, animals getting out of hibernation too early and a hot April. Whatever happened to the report about an exceptionally hot summer this year? OK, enough ramblings. Back to the leis.
